Postman, The

Postman, The (1997) IMDB rating: 5.30 Plot: In the year 2013 civilization has all but destroyed itself. After a war that decimated the government and most of the population of the United States (possibly the world) people struggle to survive against starvation and rogue groups of armed men. One such group is called the Holnists. This group is bigger than any other and their leader, General Bethlehem, has delusions of ruling the country. A drifter (Costner) is captured by the group and forced to join. He escapes at the first chance and happens on a mail jeep with a skeleton in it. The skeleton is wearing a postal uniform and the drifter takes it to keep him warm. He also finds a mailbag and starts conning people with old letters. The hope he sees in the people he delivers to changes his plans and he decides that he must help bring the Holnists down.

My neighbor is 65 and retired,never married nor had children.He is obsessed with his yard,and fights a battle every day against Mother Nature with his leaf blower,ride on mower,etc.It’s a battle because we live in a HEAVILY forested village with 50 and 60 year old Maple trees all over the place.
I am a 44 year old divorced mom of teenagers and a 10 year old special needs son.I work and am taking one class at a time to try to get my Master’s Degree.I do my yard work once a week,and keep my place very nice.I garden a lot in the growing season and gets lots of compliments on all my flowers and statuary.
Today when I came home for lunch,as I got out of my vehicle,this neighbor yelled,"You need to clean up your damn yard–all your leaves are blowing over here…and I work hard keeping my place tidy!!"
I was livid,and said nothing.(I was actually trying to talk on my cell phone to my 81 year old mother who is in the hospital!)
How would you react,if at all???
Apologize???For what??I just cleaned every leaf in my yard up–with my teens–on Sunday.

My neighbor cursed my wife and I out once for our dog walking through his yard and our dog didn’t even poop in his yard. I was so upset I went to lowes and bought a huge thing of grass/weed killer, and once a night for a week i filled a large cup from the gas station and threw it in his lawn, of course he just thought it was litter from a passing car, because the death of the grass didn’t happen over night, long story short that was a year and a half ago and it just now has cleared up and regrown.

I agree, the aliens vs predator 3 game that is coming out this year looks amazing. If its as good as the previous one then i shall very pleased. Call Of Duty 7 hasn’t been announced yet, but its obvious that sometime soon they will release a 7th game in the series. Perhaps another Fallout Game?
Serious Sam HD will also be a one to look out for. Despite it having the same storyline and weapons as the original, it’ll be nice to handle the old Chaingun Again :D. And theres Bioshock 2, an absoleute must have!

Should I ask her to marry me considering Im number2 for her?
This may sound sad but i need some serious advice.

Ive been going out with my fiance for about 16 months. She is my first and only love Im so madly in love with her and used to think she is the one for me until i found out that. After one week meeting with her she invited me to a party and that was the night we had our first kiss. But now i found out that night she kissed another 3 guys and left the party with a total stranger she just met there. And she texted me the next day saying "it was great to see u last night." but she still went out with that guy the next night and they did it again. And the day after the guy had to leave the country.

Now i really am completely heartbroken, i feel like i was always the second choice for her and she just settled with me.

i met all her family and she met mine. we have been living together for months and got on really well but i just cant get over the fact. I really dont know as a man how to let this off and its not that im so desperate, im well off, good looking nice guy and always had girls asking me out but my eyes only sees my silly fiancee.

i dont want to dramatize but this does hurt a lot i would rather have physical pain than this.

Aliens VS Predator 2 PC Problem?
My computer surpasses the requirements by a huge extent. Although I am having frame rate slow downs, no matter what settings the graphics are on. I believe the main problem is Vista. I have a 8400gs graphics card. Could this be an incompatibility problem?

Dark(Dramatic/intense) Films/Series?
I like movies that have a dark, dramatic, intense type of air about them. Not really things that take themselves lightly or have a sense of comedy or jokes. That stuff is ok sometimes, but usually it doesn’t really take the world far enough. I don’t really mean something that A-moral, but more movies that display a destroyed or distorted world with little hope or that’s in tatters and chaos.

Dark Floors, Silent hill Games, Ninja Assasin, Clockwork Orange, The Dark Knight, The alternate world version of Buffy in the episode where Cordelia makes that wish, Alien (the original Film), Xtro,

Preferably things that take place in a contemporary or futuristic setting. Dystopian, dark, Preferably without much humor. ^^ Forgive me for not getting a better list. Anime, Film, TV series are all fine.
I think That Dark Angel and Firefly are far less dark than Buffy… The entire premise of Dark Angel is kind of Kickass hot babe crimefighting. Anyways really Most of the suggestions so far have a lot of camp, or filled to the brim with hope.
