very confusing situation with guy friend!!!??
why did he do this?
so i was walking through the hallway today going to math and i saw the guy i liked
from afar. i was with my friend and he knows both of us. my friend walked ahead of me because i dropped something. he walked by my friend and supposedly said hi, even tho i didnt hear him, and when i looked up his face was bright red. i looked at him but was to afraid to say anything and he just had his head down. after i looked away he turned his head and looked back at me and said hi. but he didnt look at me in the eyes tho.

why was his face red while he was walking by me after he saw my friend? is it because he saw me from afar and started to get nervous when he approached me?

and why do you think he decided to look back and actually say hi??

First and foremost, i’d like to say that I’m sorry your ex left you, but want to remind you that if he left you then, he wasn’t worth having.

It’s normal for people our age to feel unwanted or like no one seems to understand, care, etc.
Sometimes we feel lost and like no one will ever come to our side.

I can tell you that there is light at the end of the dark tunnel of youth though.
I think what you’ll have to realize is that right now doesent matter so much, true you should make the most out of it, but don’t try to rush through it.

Theres a reason we have boyfriends and girlfriends who don’t work out, it’s because it teaches us what we don’t want from a relationship, and also how to handle a relationship.

I don’t belive that everyone out there has a special counter part, I belive that people love each other, the good, and the bad for the simple reason of love taking hold when you don’t even know it.

Life isn’t a movie, there isn’t going to be that "one guy" who you just know you’re compleatly in love with, more often than not, it’l seep it’s way in, you won’t even realize you love the guy untill finally it hits you that he makes you happy, makes you laugh, cares about you, and is exactly what you want out of a guy, without being a guy. (or girl if your bisexual).

So my advice is to just relax, take life one day at a time, who cares about friends and their partners? Most of them will be done with each other soon enough, and you can be there to catch them when they fall. Breaking up and getting into puppy love are all part of growing up, yes, it’s hard, yes, it’s brutal, but at the end of it, you’ll find happiness.

Your a very beautiful young woman, and i’m sure when people get to know you, they’ll see that your a gorgeous person, inside, and out.

Always belive in yourself, because through yourself, you’ll find who makes you happiest, and that is what many consider to be "The one", the guy or girl who makes you happiest, no, it isn’t always going to be great, because every healthy relationship has fights, but if he and you can make it through the tough times, and enjoy the good ones, i think that’s pretty close to being meant for each other.

Movie buffs & book fans. Manhunter vs. Red Dragon?
So years ago I watched Manhunter & then when Red Dragon came out I watched it in theaters & sais to myself "hey, this is the same movie as Manhunter." Manhunter was on Showtime today & I noticed a few things. They go to the killers house & kill him there, but in Red Dragon he escapes the house & the police have to decipher the last code Hannibal gave the killer. Its Det. Grahams address. The endings are quite different. Also, in Manhunter I dont remember any reference at all to the Red Dragon. My question is which one is more true to the book? Or is the books ending different from both? P.S. The guy who played the freaky killer in Manhunter was Frankenstein in "The Monster Squad" That doesnt relate to the question, just something I noticed.

My neighbor is 65 and retired,never married nor had children.He is obsessed with his yard,and fights a battle every day against Mother Nature with his leaf blower,ride on mower,etc.It’s a battle because we live in a HEAVILY forested village with 50 and 60 year old Maple trees all over the place.
I am a 44 year old divorced mom of teenagers and a 10 year old special needs son.I work and am taking one class at a time to try to get my Master’s Degree.I do my yard work once a week,and keep my place very nice.I garden a lot in the growing season and gets lots of compliments on all my flowers and statuary.
Today when I came home for lunch,as I got out of my vehicle,this neighbor yelled,"You need to clean up your damn yard–all your leaves are blowing over here…and I work hard keeping my place tidy!!"

My neighbor cursed my wife and I out once for our dog walking through his yard and our dog didn’t even poop in his yard. I was so upset I went to lowes and bought a huge thing of grass/weed killer, and once a night for a week i filled a large cup from the gas station and threw it in his lawn, of course he just thought it was litter from a passing car, because the death of the grass didn’t happen over night, long story short that was a year and a half ago and it just now has cleared up and regrown.

He thought about Patrice; how he was the most important person in her life. She was The Chosen One, she loved him so much she died for him - what an exulted thing she committed!

He thought about her in that white dress, the way her eyes reflected like a knife, their shade so pale that tears that were falling were the same color as her eyes. Mimicking his heartbeats, not a beat out of rhythm.

The light went out, nothing left to see now but the stars trapped in the sky. He was just as strapped in as the stars. Tomorrow was the day to brake out, tell the world what he really was! Fame, fame, fame - newspapers will be printing, bigger than any famous stuck-up, no-good loser. (jejune) characters that are going to wish they were him.

He looked down at his concrete whole, for the first time after escaping. Going to be that no good, cop that was jealous of his fame, who got him in this mess in the first place! He put his painting back to the whole when he heard the words starting.

Yet, this caged bird would sing again. Life outside the big house was looking to pulchritudinous.

He tossed the cigarette right after getting a whiff, the red light rolled across the floor and that was going to be him. He was going to roll away; no more gambling for cigarettes, it was real money now!

It made him think of the deadman’s hand, aces and 8s. They call it deadman’s hand because a man was killed for winning when a guy bet a lease on his house. Bam shot him, for having 8s and aces in his hand, back in cowboy times.

The cop that got him here was going to get dealt a deadman’s hand now.

Before I start in, thank you for being coherent. You’re miles better than most of the people on here, and you have a great start. I don’t know you, I don’t know how long you’ve been writing, but I can tell that you’ve put a lot of effort into this, and it just needs a little fine-tuning.

However, you do have a few issues. Feel free to take it or leave it, but please be aware that I’m not saying this to be mean–I’m saying it because I like commenting on people’s stuff, and as self-inflated as it sounds, because criticism makes the world go ’round.

Okay, for one, use quotation marks. You’re not Cormac McCarthy.

Second, stop with the metaphors. It’s possible to describe things without going into cliche.

Third, pulchritudinous. Unnecessary. It doesn’t make you look smart; it just makes you look like you flipped through a thesaurus. Especially because it doesn’t agree with your verb.

Finally, you’re trying too hard. It should feel natural to read, easy, flowing, and completely effortless. Or rather, it should feel like the writing was that way, even if every word is soaked in blood, sweat and tears of the writer.

Close your eyes. Picture the scene. It should be clear in your mind, sharp, every detail sticking out, every emotion of every person present radiating through your head. Now–which are important? Pick those out. What do they look like? What is the first thing that comes to your mind? What would your narrator see as the most important aspects? What sticks out to him? Use those.

Let it flow. Drop the pretentious metaphors, the pretentious syntax. Let go. Good luck

You have the standard limited POV problem that many writers do. Think about whose head you are in. Now think about what he’s thinking, and what he can see and hear and feel.

That’s all you get to write. You don’t get to describe his hair colour and what his scar looks like.

You also need to go revise dialogue punctuation, and to stop using fancy words wrong. "pulchritudinous" is an adjective. Life can’t "look to" an adjective. And exalted would make far more sense than exulted does.

I agree, the aliens vs predator 3 game that is coming out this year looks amazing. If its as good as the previous one then i shall very pleased. Call Of Duty 7 hasn’t been announced yet, but its obvious that sometime soon they will release a 7th game in the series. Perhaps another Fallout Game?
Serious Sam HD will also be a one to look out for. Despite it having the same storyline and weapons as the original, it’ll be nice to handle the old Chaingun Again :D. And theres Bioshock 2, an absoleute must have!

It would work on some people I guess… but these are mostly the old style cards. If you want to stand a chance against most people I suggest getting some tuners and synchros. The traps and spells are fine ( except chtonian polymer, nobody really fuses that much, i’d replace it with horn of heaven or dark horn of heaven) but the monsters are really horrible. Their is no real strategy put here. You need to get some newer cards stand a chance against the new decks. Lightsworns and blackwings now are some of the best now, I dueled a person with a lightsworn deck and he finished me off in 3 turns.

in my eyes, no effect, no use. get rid of any thing without an effect for something with one that could help out your deck. get rid of the trap holes for bottomless traphole, its way better.summoned skull, no go. get a diiferent power house like caius the shadow monarch. also you might want to have a build. make a deck surrounding one specific thing, be it an ability, an archtype or a specific card

titling an out of state car in louisiana?
so here’s the deal, i was given a car from a very dear friend and i need to get the car registered in louisiana.
the car was originally purchased new in 1958 in alabama, at the time alabama didn’t title cars they just registered them. the car has been registered in alabama (although the last few years it’s lapsed) since day one and the title issue was "grandfathered" in and it has never been required to have a title.
i have the registration and bill of sale (notarized) from the previous owner.
what i need to know is what kind of process will i have to go through to get this car registered and TITLED in louisiana?
i’ve heard it’s a real pain in the behind to do that here and that louisiana is one of the hardest states to to do this.
