I’m looking for an online group that studies a different piece of scripture every week or so. I’m looking for a vibrate, lively community that likes when people ask questions and will not be overly offended by my liberalism. Mission: Impossible

Mission: Impossible (1996) IMDB rating: 6.60 Plot: Movie based on the television series finds Jim Phelps and his team charged with stopping a traitor from stealing and selling classified material. Everything was going well until the man they are following and all of the team are inexplicably killed except for Ethan Hunt. Ethan then calls the Director and goes to meet him when he discovers that the whole mission was to ferret a mole that they have been suspicious of for some time. The Director shows evidence that hints that Ethan’s the one they have been looking for but Ethan knows that he is not, so he escapes. Ethan then arranges to meet the buyer and whom he warns against using the material he has and when they meet he offers to get what he paid for in exchange for telling whom the mole is. Ethan, along with Phelps’ wife Claire recruits two disavowed agents to help him which won’t be easy.

Do some people need to review the Bush and Clinton years again?
The Dow reached its all time high of 14,000 in 2007, on Bush’s watch.

It was no bubble, the Dow was above 10,000 the majority of Bush’s time in office up to that point.

But after the GOP lost its majority in Congress in 2007, the Dow took its worst one-year plunge in history.

Bush’s economic policies worked for six years. But after the GOP lost control of Congress, it was all downhill from there.

After the GOP lost control of Congress, then the GOP was not able to pass legislation that could have prevented the crash.

The Democrats did nothing. The GOP might have done something, but they couldn’t because they didn’t have a majority anymore.

Bush’s watchlist system worked for 8 years and 3 days. Even if you start counting with the shoe bomber on 12/22/2001, it kept us safe from airliner bombings until 12/25/2009.

If the system worked that long, why did it fail less than one year after Obama took office? The problem is not the system, it’s the people who are now runing it.

They took a system that was working, and in less than a year it fell apart.

And unemployment was NEVER 10% on Bush’s watch.

The so-called "mess" that Bush gets blamed for actually happened AFTER the Democrats gained seats in Congress and the GOP lost its majority.

I think that points to who is REALLY to blame, and why these problems persist after the Democrats have gained even more control.

Arthur Levitt, Jr. was the longest serving head of the SEC. Do a Google search on him, see what pops up.

He was appointed by Clinton in 1993 and again in 1998. He left in 2001, so he covered the entire Clinton administration.

Levitt gave Madoff a free pass because they were both members of the Harmonie Club, a social club for the ultra wealthy in NYC.

Movie buffs & book fans. Manhunter vs. Red Dragon?
So years ago I watched Manhunter & then when Red Dragon came out I watched it in theaters & sais to myself "hey, this is the same movie as Manhunter." Manhunter was on Showtime today & I noticed a few things. They go to the killers house & kill him there, but in Red Dragon he escapes the house & the police have to decipher the last code Hannibal gave the killer. Its Det. Grahams address. The endings are quite different. Also, in Manhunter I dont remember any reference at all to the Red Dragon. My question is which one is more true to the book? Or is the books ending different from both? P.S. The guy who played the freaky killer in Manhunter was Frankenstein in "The Monster Squad" That doesnt relate to the question, just something I noticed.

A wedding is a formal event and no place for endearments like ‘baby’ . It also completely ignores ‘vows’ - look it up. Vows are what you promise your partner, ie: ‘I promise to love and cherish you’; ‘I promise to be faithful to you’. Vows are not a vomit inducing out-pouring of teenage emotion.

This is more about you than about her and you are actually only making two promises about what you will actually do - which is the essence of a vow. You include caring for her when she’s ill and supporting her. You need to promise more than that to make a vow.

A vow is a promise about how you will run your marriage. It should specify observable behaviours that you are committing to, not just personal feelings.

What you have here is more about you than about commitment in and to marriage.

Is it impolite for me to stay silent when people say they like my "diamond" ring?
My engagement ring is actually cubic zirconia. I won’t go into boring details but I personally loathe De Beers and the artificially raised price of diamonds, so I refuse to wear them. Is it okay? I’ve never played a game with actual rules with real people (only my Yu-Gi-Oh! video game) so it might not be so good.

It would work on some people I guess… but these are mostly the old style cards. If you want to stand a chance against most people I suggest getting some tuners and synchros. The traps and spells are fine ( except chtonian polymer, nobody really fuses that much, i’d replace it with horn of heaven or dark horn of heaven) but the monsters are really horrible. Their is no real strategy put here. You need to get some newer cards stand a chance against the new decks. Lightsworns and blackwings now are some of the best now, I dueled a person with a lightsworn deck and he finished me off in 3 turns.
