 Postman, The (1997)
IMDB rating: 5.30
Plot: In the year 2013 civilization has all but destroyed itself. After a war that decimated the government and most of the population of the United States (possibly the world) people struggle to survive against starvation and rogue groups of armed men. One such group is called the Holnists. This group is bigger than any other and their leader, General Bethlehem, has delusions of ruling the country. A drifter (Costner) is captured by the group and forced to join. He escapes at the first chance and happens on a mail jeep with a skeleton in it. The skeleton is wearing a postal uniform and the drifter takes it to keep him warm. He also finds a mailbag and starts conning people with old letters. The hope he sees in the people he delivers to changes his plans and he decides that he must help bring the Holnists down.

If you live in a smaller city you may have a chance to get it. If you live in a large city, you have a better chance to hit the lottery. Call your postmaster and give him a heads up, then keep your fingers crossed. Good Luck!

 Platoon (1986)
IMDB rating: 8.20
Plot: Chris Taylor (Charlie Sheen) is a young, naive American who gives up college and volunteers for combat in Vietnam. Upon arrival, he quickly discovers that his presence is quite nonessential, and is considered insignificant to the other soldiers, as he has not fought for as long as the rest of them and felt the effects of combat. Chris has two commanding officers, the ill-tempered and indestructible Staff Sergeant Robert Barnes (Tom Berenger) and the more pleasant and cooperative Sergeant Elias Grodin (Willem Dafoe). A line is drawn between the two officers and a number of men in the platoon when an illegal killing occurs during a village raid. As the war continues, Chris himself draws towards psychological meltdown. And as he struggles for survival, he soon realizes he is fighting two battles, the conflict with the enemy and the conflict between the men within his platoon.

Question for all army people?
And please no rude answers or swarthy retorts because we are all grown ups here.
But when you were in the army, did you ever have to do push ups in the mud? Or is that a myth that I see in most television shows. What was the push ups in mud like and was it only you or a whole platoon and what did it have to do with the army? Can people also contact me to talk if they are willing? My YIM is luckygirlstorm. I look forward to meeting with you!
I’m not joining the army but I know somebody who is and I am just trying to separate facts from fiction. He doesn’t care whether he gets dirty or not.
if your afraid of doing pushups in mud try crawling through puddles of blood with you arm and legs blown off.
with one mistake we all take the brakes
`~~I shine, not burn~~`
Socomedy2 | Feb 04, 2010
Know whats better than pushups in the mud? Pyramid pushups in the mud.
Khaos | Feb 04, 2010
I think ALL military branches have done pushups in the mud. The army just does it for fun.
bumblebee_4tuna | Feb 04, 2010
While my boyfriend was in BCT they did, they also all had to crawl in the mud and roll in it until they were completely covered. Everyone in his PLT did it. It was interesting to watch on their training dvd.
Army Girlfriend | Feb 04, 2010
yes it does happen, its called Corrective Training. Its to prepare you to pass your PT test. oh and because drill sgt’s think its funny to do to Pvt’s
SwissMiss | Feb 04, 2010
If its raining and you’re outside during training then yeah, you’re gonna get muddy and messy especially during field training. It’s just a fact of life. The Army is an outdoor sport.
Ray | Feb 04, 2010
Oh, it happens. More common in Basic Training than the "real Army" but it even happens there. When I was at Fort Drum, NY, our whole company had to do it once because we weren’t acting motivated enough about the fact that we were conducting Physical Training in the cold with a lot of slush on the ground. The NCOs sought out a nice muddy area next to the volley ball court to teach everyone a lesson.
Personally, I just embraced the suck (literally) and made sure to get as muddy as I could. Everyone else joined in the "fun." By the end of it, even those NCOs who had conceived of this punishment had gone in themselves and were all just one big muddy happy team. Teamwork is key.
We all went upstairs after PT, took hot showers, then spent the next hour mopping mud from the barracks hallways. Again, we kept up a good attitude about the whole thing - these kinds of situations can really bring a unit together, ironically.

Do you think we should legalise marijunna, and have people over the age of 18 smoke it?
Here are 10 logical reasons to legalise marijuana
10. Prohibition has failed to control the use and domestic production of marijuana. The government has tried to use criminal penalties to prevent marijuana use for over 75 years and yet: marijuana is now used by over 25 million people annually, cannabis is currently the largest cash crop in the United States, and marijuana is grown all over the planet. Claims that marijuana prohibition is a successful policy are ludicrous and unsupported by the facts, and the idea that marijuana will soon be eliminated from America and the rest of the world is a ridiculous fantasy.
9. Arrests for marijuana possession disproportionately affect blacks and Hispanics and reinforce the perception that law enforcement is biased and prejudiced against minorities. African-Americans account for approximately 13% of the population of the United States and about 13.5% of annual marijuana users, however, blacks also account for 26% of all marijuana arrests. Recent studies have demonstrated that blacks and Hispanics account for the majority of marijuana possession arrests in New York City, primarily for smoking marijuana in public view. Law enforcement has failed to demonstrate that marijuana laws can be enforced fairly without regard to race; far too often minorities are arrested for marijuana use while white/non-Hispanic Americans face a much lower risk of arrest.
8. A regulated, legal market in marijuana would reduce marijuana sales and use among teenagers, as well as reduce their exposure to other drugs in the illegal market. The illegality of marijuana makes it more valuable than if it were legal, providing opportunities for teenagers to make easy money selling it to their friends. If the excessive profits for marijuana sales were ended through legalization there would be less incentive for teens to sell it to one another. Teenage use of alcohol and tobacco remain serious public health problems even though those drugs are legal for adults, however, the availability of alcohol and tobacco is not made even more widespread by providing kids with economic incentives to sell either one to their friends and peers.
7. Legalized marijuana would reduce the flow of money from the American economy to international criminal gangs. Marijuana’s illegality makes foreign cultivation and smuggling to the United States extremely profitable, sending billions of dollars overseas in an underground economy while diverting funds from productive economic development.
6. Marijuana’s legalization would simplify the development of hemp as a valuable and diverse agricultural crop in the United States, including its development as a new bio-fuel to reduce carbon emissions. Canada and European countries have managed to support legal hemp cultivation without legalizing marijuana, but in the United States opposition to legal marijuana remains the biggest obstacle to development of industrial hemp as a valuable agricultural commodity. As US energy policy continues to embrace and promote the development of bio-fuels as an alternative to oil dependency and a way to reduce carbon emissions, it is all the more important to develop industrial hemp as a bio-fuel source - especially since use of hemp stalks as a fuel source will not increase demand and prices for food, such as corn. Legalization of marijuana will greatly simplify the regulatory burden on prospective hemp cultivation in the United States.
5. Prohibition is based on lies and disinformation. Justification of marijuana’s illegality increasingly requires distortions and selective uses of the scientific record, causing harm to the credibility of teachers, law enforcement officials, and scientists throughout the country. The dangers of marijuana use have been exaggerated for almost a century and the modern scientific record does not support the reefer madness predictions of the past and present. Many claims of marijuana’s danger are based on old 20th century prejudices that originated in a time when science was uncertain how marijuana produced its characteristic effects. Since the cannabinoid receptor system was discovered in the late 1980s these hysterical concerns about marijuana’s dangerousness have not been confirmed with modern research. Everyone agrees that marijuana, or any other drug use such as alcohol or tobacco use, is not for children. Nonetheless, adults have demonstrated over the last several decades that marijuana can be used moderately without harmful impacts to the individual or society.
4. Marijuana is not a lethal drug and is safer than alcohol. It is established scientific fact that marijuana is not toxic to humans; marijuana overdoses are nearly impossible, and marijuana is not nearly as addictive as alcohol or tobacco. It is unfair and unjust to treat marijuana users more harshly under the law than the users of alcohol or tobacco.
3. Marijuana is too expensive for our justice system and should instead be taxed to sup
@- There is no scientific evidence of marijunna harming brain cells or lungs.
Also, marijuana does not turn you into a crack head its like smoking a normal ciggarret. and this is not propaganda.this is to inform ignorant people like you guys.
Charles Aunt- There was error when i was getting the facts, i did not lose my argument lol.
3. it will reduce the amount of crime
2. it will help are economy
1. no more violence on are borders.
No.
You are wrong…..they should make it compulsory, everybody should be made to chill out.

I agree, the aliens vs predator 3 game that is coming out this year looks amazing. If its as good as the previous one then i shall very pleased. Call Of Duty 7 hasn’t been announced yet, but its obvious that sometime soon they will release a 7th game in the series. Perhaps another Fallout Game?
Serious Sam HD will also be a one to look out for. Despite it having the same storyline and weapons as the original, it’ll be nice to handle the old Chaingun Again :D. And theres Bioshock 2, an absoleute must have!

Is it okay? I’ve never played a game with actual rules with real people (only my Yu-Gi-Oh! video game) so it might not be so good.
Jack: Why?
Oh yeah, I did play Yu-Gi-Oh! with one of my cousins, but we didn’t follow the rules.
Thanks Sebastian. I have 3 Blackwings and one spell card that summons them. I know that fusion card isn’t that good, but I don’t really know why I added that in the first place.
How old are you?
Jack | Jan 30, 2010
It would work on some people I guess… but these are mostly the old style cards. If you want to stand a chance against most people I suggest getting some tuners and synchros. The traps and spells are fine ( except chtonian polymer, nobody really fuses that much, i’d replace it with horn of heaven or dark horn of heaven) but the monsters are really horrible. Their is no real strategy put here. You need to get some newer cards stand a chance against the new decks. Lightsworns and blackwings now are some of the best now, I dueled a person with a lightsworn deck and he finished me off in 3 turns.

in my eyes, no effect, no use. get rid of any thing without an effect for something with one that could help out your deck. get rid of the trap holes for bottomless traphole, its way better.summoned skull, no go. get a diiferent power house like caius the shadow monarch. also you might want to have a build. make a deck surrounding one specific thing, be it an ability, an archtype or a specific card

Should I ask her to marry me considering Im number2 for her?
This may sound sad but i need some serious advice.
Ive been going out with my fiance for about 16 months. She is my first and only love Im so madly in love with her and used to think she is the one for me until i found out that. After one week meeting with her she invited me to a party and that was the night we had our first kiss. But now i found out that night she kissed another 3 guys and left the party with a total stranger she just met there. And she texted me the next day saying "it was great to see u last night." but she still went out with that guy the next night and they did it again. And the day after the guy had to leave the country.
Now i really am completely heartbroken, i feel like i was always the second choice for her and she just settled with me.
i met all her family and she met mine. we have been living together for months and got on really well but i just cant get over the fact. I really dont know as a man how to let this off and its not that im so desperate, im well off, good looking nice guy and always had girls asking me out but my eyes only sees my silly fiancee.
i dont want to dramatize but this does hurt a lot i would rather have physical pain than this.
Get over it. You were not in a committed relationship at the time of the first date. Forget it. She loves you! Enjoy it and stop worrying about it. It is over and done and in the past. If she loves you, is loyal to you, and honest with you, wy are stressing over a silly one night party? Move on and enjoy her.

Why would you want to be with someone who treats you as like this? Don’t you have any self worth to expect better? It will be hard to move on, but that seems to be the only real answer, she’s not ready to settle down any anyone at this point.

Okay if you want this girl to be in your life the first thing that you’re gonna have to do is become a MAN and I mean quick. It’s obvious from your issue that you guys are a bit immature. She kissed another guy and took someone home with her 1 WEEK AFTER SHE MET YOU! You can’t judge her based on that because you guys were not together and she didn’t have to explain that to you. If you can’t get over something that happened before you were together then you’re going to ruin your relationship. How is she now? Did she cheat on you? Has she shown any signs of not being faithful to you or the relationship? You can’t just your relationship/life based on what happened before you were brought in it. Base your relationship based on what’s happened since you’ve been together. If you don’t let this go then you might as well let her go because you’re going to damage a relationship based on what happened before you. Now I’m not at all saying that she’s okay with doing something like this especially since she invited you there. But it was your decision to move forward with the relationship after that and that was all you. So if it really bothered you then you should’ve broke it off right then (if you knew about it). If she invited you there but went home with someone else then you had to have known that 16 months ago. Now all this time has passed and you

how much does a beginer in the wwe make?
Im would love to become a profesional wrestler for the WWE i have looked into the schooling at FCW I just want to know what a female rookie would make.
half a million
Super sapien | Feb 04, 2010
Not sure how much Divas make, but I’d go and get some good training first. Look in to Shimmer Women’s Athletes. It’s the best women’s wrestling in the world and housed women like Beth Phoenix in the past.
Louie | Feb 04, 2010
Schooling at FCW? FCW ain’t a school moron! It’s a tryout school. Meaning that people with at least 2 years experience can try out for a FCW contract.
But who is to know IF you will make it in WWE? FCW can still fire you?
Also I would say a rookie makes bout $2000 for the most.
Also why bother you clearly got no knowledge on the damn biz anyway.
Go to school and get an actual job. Not some fricking school dropouts millionare life style job.

What is a good book about 60's/70's counterculture movies?
I got the VideoHound book "Groovy Movies". It’s great, but I feel like it’s just scratching the surface of these counterculture movies. Where can I find more? Is there a more comprehensive guide? I love movies like Woodstock, Easy Rider, Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, Dirty Harry, Charley Varrick, Night Moves, … not just hippie-oriented but 60’s/70’s counterculture in general.
